Independent Students

We welcome applications from those seeking to study whether they are from the United Kingdom or from overseas. Recent examples of independent students include:

• Lay people wishing to deepen and enrich their faith by studying theology as part of a worshipping community.
• Those preparing for Christian ministry in other churches in Britain and abroad.
• Ordained ministers taking time for further study and research.

Many courses are available to independent students, but amongst the most appropriate for 1-year study are:

Applicants who are interested in a full undergraduate degree programme might consider:

Neither of our partner universities offers an M.Div. degree, since the M.Div. is not a standard British qualification. However, the range and standards of our undergraduate programmes are broadly equivalent to those of a North American M.Div. We are glad to work with overseas candidates (and their sponsoring churches) to put together a programme that will satisfy their needs for training.
