If Westcott is to prepare leaders and resources for tomorrow's church, it is vital that the site can accommodate the needs of a growing and diverse community. To achieve this, we propose constructing additional accommodation which in the medium term will give greater capacity for residential students and, in the short term, will provide accommodation for students decanted from rooms in need of refurbishment or more serious structural work.

New building and refurbishment will be undertaken with an emphasis on flexibility, and with an eye to the need to generate a year-round income. Careful design will ensure that single students, couples and families can be accommodated on site, and a comprehensive access scheme will ensure that accommodation and public areas are accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs and for people with limited visibility or sensory impairments.

Each component of new building and refurbishment will form part of a master plan ensuring that work undertaken in the short term does not compromise longer term aspirations. There will be a range of opportunities for donor recognition within rooms and buildings, details of which are available from the Development Office.
