Elizabeth Phillips first joined the academic staff of Westcott House in 2009, serving as Tutor in Theology and Ethics as well as Director of Studies until 2018. During 2018-2019 she was Visiting Scholar in the Institute for Criminology (University of Cambridge) as part of her collaboration with Learning Together external link, a university-prison partnership initiative. Since 2019 she has been Research Fellow at the Margaret Beaufort Institute of Theology, and is currently working on the Plater Trust funded project, Flourishing Inside external link. She is widely published in the fields of Christian Ethics and Political Theology.
Jeff Phillips holds degrees in History, Theology, and Ministry. He came to Cambridge after a ThM with Professor Nancey Murphy in which he studied philosophy, theology and science, and systematic theology. Jeff earned his doctorate from the University of Cambridge in philosophy and theology. His PhD thesis was, ‘Univocity and Theological Language After Aquinas and Wittgenstein’. He is a Chadwick Prize winner, a prize given for writing in the philosophy of religion. Jeff is also a Fellow and Director of Studies in Philosophy at St Edmund’s College, Cambridge and a member of the Philosophy Faculty.
